PGA Constantly Growing In,, But Not In,Windows 2008 R2 SP1 (Doc ID 1906475.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version and later
Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit) - Version: 2008 R2

After upgrading from 64Bit to and after that to, PGA grows constantly which consumes all the free memory. Shared_pool is also growing all the time.
The system comes to a hold and freezes, database must be restarted every 6 hours, sometimes database server must be restarted every 12 hours.

Changed from AMM to ASMM Memory management and tested with several memory size settings for sga_target but no results.
