Symptoms
NOTE: It's possible to recognize this issue already during the 'node selection' screen of the Oracle Universal Installer session when installing. Namely, if you see that the OUI has the node's PRIVATE node name pre-populated into the node name field, then you're likely encountering this issue. You can cancel / stop the installer, fix the issue (assign metrics) and then re-invoke the installer. If the node selection screen now shows PUBLIC node names instead of PRIVATE node names, then the issue is fixed and the error described below will be avoided.
Oracle Grid Infrastructure 12.1.0.1.0 installation is failing with an OUI-35024 error reported in the installActions.log file.
