Streams Apply Server PGA memory usage increase when using DML Handlers in 11.2 (Doc ID 1909755.1)

Symptoms

Streams Apply servers consume increasing amounts of PGA memory over time.

The Apply process is using DML Handlers

Heap dumps generated at level 536870913 indicate the largest heap is "koh-kghu call " with the biggest memory contributors associated with

knglcolx
knglxrcol
kol vstring

Stopping and restarting the Streams Apply process releases the memory.

The issue was not observed in 10.2.

Changes

Upgrade from 10.2 to 11.2
