The MySQL Command Line Client Crashes: mysql: *** glibc detected *** mysql: double free or corruption; CTRL+c; SIGHUP; SIGINT; SIGQUIT; Core Dump

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When one of the following signals is send to the MySQL commend line client while the client is in the process of terminating, it crashes:
- SIGHUP (for MySQL 5.6)
- SIGINT (e.g. CTRL+c)
If core dumps are enabled, a core dump will be created as well.
The error and trace will be similar to:
