Invalid GRANT Causes LOST_EVENTS Entry in Binary Log and Breaks Replication (Doc ID 1914927.1)

Symptoms

On : 5.6 version, Server Crash

When attempting to replicate to a slave,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

2014-08-01 11:54:21 3792 [ERROR] Slave SQL: The incident LOST_EVENTS occured on the master. Message: error writing to the binary log, Error_code: 1590


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install 5.6.10 version
2. Setup replication to a slave
3. While replicating, issue an invalid GRANT statement

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot get replication working easily without working around the invalid statement.
