Dropping one VPC causes ORA-00942 errors in other VPCs (Doc ID 1922594.1)

Symptoms

A VPC owner ran the "drop catalog" command from within the VPC connection. As a result other VPC owners getting below errors:

New registrations:

RMAN-03002: failure of register command at 08/20/2014 21:56:32
RMAN-06428: recovery catalog is not installed

Existing targets with a resync catalog command:

RMAN-03009: failure of resync command on default channel at 08/20/2014 22:14:24
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

This is unexpected behavior as dropping one VPC should not affect other VPCs.

Changes

 Dropped Virtual Private Catalog using "drop catalog" command from within the VPC connection.
