 When performing an upgrade to Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) V4.0.* is it ok to be in Maintenance Mode to avoid Cloudera Manager upgrade-related alerts?
 If the BDA has been changed from its original layout will that be a problem during upgrade?

 Regarding backing up critical metadata in CDH 4.* prior to upgrade to CDH 5.1.*, are the table structures in MySQL compatible between CDH 4.x and CDH 5.1.*?
 If the table structures in the MySQL databases are not compatible between CDH 4.x and CDH 5.1.* what is the purpose of backing up the critical metadata??
 After upgrading the BDA, does the CDH client need to be upgraded to the same underlying version i.e. CDH 5.1 in the case of upgrading to BDA 4.0?
 What about upgrading a CDH client, will that also require a two step approach?
