Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 2.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Goal

How to redirect a MySQL Database backup taken on Node 3 of the BDA to a different BDA Node or client/edge server.  These instructions could be followed when backing up critical metadata on a BDA as per: How to Backup Critical Metadata on Oracle Big Data Appliance V2.3.1/V2.4/V2.5/V3.0.1 Releases (Doc ID 1623304.1) when Node 3 does not have sufficient space to store the backup.  In this case redirect the backup to a different BDA node on the same or different cluster or to a client/edge server.
