Symptoms

Grid Infrastructure daemon traces are missing, stack can be restarted but trace files are not recreated: 

$ cd <ADR_BASE>/crs/<node>/crs/trace
$ tail -11 alert.log
2014-08-25 16:40:19.795 [MDNSD(2682)]CRS-8500: Oracle Clusterware MDNSD process is starting with operating system process ID 2682
Non critical error DIA-48180 caught while writing to trace file "/home/grid/app/grid/diag/crs/klrac790/crs/trace/mdnsd.trc"
Error message: Linux-x86_64 Error: 2: No such file or directory
Additional information: 1
Writing to the above trace file is disabled for now on...
