Offline Patching for Oracle NoSQL Database Enterprise Edition on the Oracle Big Data Appliance (Doc ID 1940088.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2019

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.0 and later
Oracle NoSQL Database - Version 12.1.2.1.8 and later
Linux x86-64

Purpose

This note provides the steps for offline Oracle NoSQL Database (NoSQL) patching on the Oracle Big Data Appliance.

Note: The procedure stops the NoSQL Database service on all nodes first, which means that the store is not available until the services are upgraded and restarted.

For online upgrade, which is a rolling upgrade that leaves the store in operation by upgrading nodes one at a time see the NoSQL Administration Guide documentation,  Chapter 6.  Upgrading an Existing Oracle NoSQL Database Deployment.
