What needs to be done on the DB2 side when the HOST name of the machine where the Oracle Database Provider for DRDA is running has changed? DB2 uses IP address of the Linux server to refer to services running on Linux server. These values are in SYSIBM.IPNAMES and SYSIBM.LOCATIONS tables in DB2.  This note helps to identify all the places in DB2 needs to be updated to reflect the new host name of the Linux server.

NOTE:  SCOTT user is  being used in the example, it is NOT an actual PRODUCTION or Customer Data.  It is solely for testing purposes to access data from the Oracle Supplied samples.
