ORA-4031 on Large Pool at RMAN backup (Doc ID 1941835.1)

Symptoms

Running RMAN backup, the alert log reports and ORA-4031 error like below:

'ORA-4031: unable to allocate 2048024 bytes of shared memory ("large pool","unknown object","large pool","PX msg pool")'


The instance has been configured to use Automatic Memory Management (AMM).
