Incorrect results from DB2/400 query through Database Provider for DRDA 12.1 using Zoned Decimal bind variables (Doc ID 1945758.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Database Provider for DRDA - Version 12.1.0.2 to 12.1.0.2 [Release 12.1]
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

When connecting from DB2 for i (DB2/400 - iSeries) v7.1 through Oracle Database Provider for DRDA (ODP4DRDA) v12.1,
incorrect results are returned from a query when bind variables are declared as "Zoned Decimal".

When using "constant" values in query instead of bind variables declared as "Zoned Decimal", the query correctly returns all rows.

When using bind variables declared "Zoned Decimal", the query returns no rows.

This occurs when connecting from DB2 for i (DB2/400 - iSeries) v7.1 running on "IBM i on POWER Systems"
through ODP4DRDA 12.1.0.2 to Oracle Database 12.1.0.1 on Linux x86-64;
