Symptoms
ORA-01628 errors i.e max # extents (32765) reached for rollback segment <SEGMENT_NAME> error reported even when the transactions are smaller
Changes
The maximum number of Undo extents possible in an Undo segment is 32k. By default the size of the Undo extents increase with the number, if there is enough free contiguous space in the Undo tablespace.
