DATABASE CRASHED WITH ORA-00600 [2251] (Doc ID 1954438.1)

Symptoms

The following error is reported in the alert log file.


ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [2251], [65535], [4294967295], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
CKPT (ospid: 21238): terminating the instance due to error 469

The call stack in the trace file written by the error contains the function sequence:

kcsadjn <- kctdsb_internal.

Control file dumps show the field 'kccdi2_highest_seen_scn' has an invalid SCN(0xFFFF.FFFFFFFF) value.

 

Redo logfiles were added across multiple threads.
The Database crashed after addition of the redo logs. 

alter database add logfile thread 2 ('<path>','<path>') size 500M

alter database add logfile thread 3 ('<path>','<path>') size 500M

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [2251], [65535], [4294967295], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

Changes

Redo log files were added across multiple threads.
