Goal

The purpose of this article is to describe how to configure Kerberos authentication in a Data Guard environment.

The article assumes the existence of an already fully functional Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory server and a fully functional Data Guard environment with one primary database and one physical standby database:

 

DGMGRL> show configuration

Configuration - PRODCONF

Protection Mode: MaxPerformance
Databases:
DG11204 - Primary database
DG11204ST - Physical standby database

Fast-Start Failover: DISABLED

Configuration Status:
SUCCESS

DGMGRL> exit
