ORA-1017 When Connecting as SYSASM on the Node Itself Using BEQ Protocol (Doc ID 1963635.1)

Symptoms

Grid Infrastructure srvctl start asm fails: 

$ srvctl start asm
PRCR-1079 : Failed to start resource ora.asm
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
CRS-5017: The resource action "ora.asm start" encountered the following error:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
. For details refer to "(:CLSN00107:)" in "/apps/orabase/diag/crs/racnode1/crs/trace/ohasd_oraagent_oracle.trc".

CRS-2674: Start of 'ora.asm' on 'racnode1' failed
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

 

Log in to ASM on the node itself with BEQ protocol fails as well:

$ sqlplus / as sysasm

ERROR:
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
