Symptoms

Executing Hive queries from Hue fails with error. Hue > Hive Editor > Query Editor gives error:

Error while processing statement FAILED: Execution Error, return code 1 from org.apache.hadoop.hive.ql.execDDLTask. java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to
instantiate org.apache.hadoop.hive.metastore.HiveMetaStoreClient


The Oracle Big Data Appliance Cluster has kerberos enabled.
