Symptoms

Using version 12.1.0.1 of the Database Gateway for Teradata (DG4Tera) or the Database Gateway for ODBC (DG4ODBC) running on a OEL5 Linux x86_64 bit platform all DML activities result in the following error -

ORA-28511: lost RPC connection to heterogeneous remote agent using SID=ORA-28511: lost RPC connection to heterogeneous remote agent using SID=(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=any.<company>.com)(PORT=1531))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=dg4tera)))
ORA-02063: preceding line from VZWDW


 The gateway executable core dumps.
