Symptoms

Application users are getting the following error.

ORA-24248: XML DB extensible security not installed

Although XDB is installed and valid.

SQL> select comp_name , status from dba_registry;
COMP_NAME STATUS
-------------------------------------------------- -----------
Oracle Database Catalog Views VALID
Oracle Database Packages and Types VALID
Oracle XML Database VALID
