On Oracle Big Data Appliance 3.0.1, Name Node UI Displays '0.0.0.0:8020' instead of FQDN of NameNode
(Doc ID 1984862.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 03, 2021
Applies to:
Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 3.0 to 3.0.1 [Release 3.0]Linux x86-64
Symptoms
On Oracle Big Data Appliance CDH Cluster there is a problem with some services(eg Vertica) connecting to Name Nodes due to the way the RPC Address is configured, with zeroes (0.0.0.0) instead of the actual server name.
For example, clicking on the Active/Standby Name Node UI from the HDFS Home page, and below is displayed:
Overview '0.0.0.0:8020' (active)
Would like to see the following instead:
Overview '<FQDN-of-NameNodeHost>:8020' (For both active/standby)
