Last updated on DECEMBER 18, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 11.2.0.1 to 12.1.0.2 [Release 11.2 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When accessing a file in an ACFS file system from multiple nodes, stale attribute information may occasionally be returned from the stat() system call.

having node1 and node2 and an ACFS mounted on both nodes with mount point /opt/srv006/app

Executed the following on node1:

rm /opt/srv006/app/mgo/trazas/test.out
touch /opt/srv006/app/mgo/trazas/test.out
ssh node2 "echo 'Prueba' >> /opt/srv006/app/mgo/trazas/test.out"
if [ -s /opt/srv006/app/mgo/trazas/test.out ]
then echo "Test OK"
else
echo "Test KO "
fi

The result of the test is always KO !!!!!!!

However, If I remove touch command the result is always OK !!!

And, If I do a sleep 10 for example before the if sentence, the result is also OK
