Purpose

The scope of this document is to discuss the how to skip a tablespace when using RMAN active duplicate

This note is only applicable for oracle 11g only.

RMAN active duplicate is a new feature of Oracle 11g, in which no backup is needed before duplicating a database.  During active duplicate, RMAN copies teh files over the network to the auxiliary database server.
