Symptoms

Below error observed in alert log file while deleting from a table object.

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [slmecpy()+48] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x30002] [PC:0x1077B2D04] [Address not mapped to object] []


Below error seen at the (client) command prompt while deleting from the same table object.

ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

  

The call stack from the trace file contains functions like:
