How to Create SQL Tuning Sets from Imported AWR Snapshots that have a Different DBID on a Cloned Database
Last updated on AUGUST 25, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 10.1.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
After cloning a database with RMAN, the DBID of the new database is changed, but the AWR contains the snapshots of the old DBID.
When creating Sql Tuning Sets for tuning purposes in the new database from the AWR snapshots, one cannot use the imported or old snapshots with the different DBID than the current database. There is no option to specify DBID with DBMS_SQLTUNE package.
