RMAN Backup to ZFS Hangs (Doc ID 2003371.1)

Symptoms

RMAN backup to ZFS hangs while writing the backup piece.

The RMAN Backup of the controlfile to local filesystem does not hangs, while the backup to ZFS hangs all the time.

Taking RMAN out of the picture, the copy of a file via Operating System commands to ZFS also hangs.

Changes

 The kernel of the server trying the backup was upgraded to 2.6.39-400.248.3.el6uek.x86_64.
