Performing a query against the dba_tab_comments or all_tab_comments data dictionary view will show a table owned by SYS but the table does not exist in SYS schema. ie. the table is non-existent

If distributed transaction is used in a database, *_tab_comments may return information for tables which exist on remote database.

The data dictionary view DBA_TABLES / ALL_TABLES was queried from a remote database. This affects DBA_TAB_COMMENTS, ALL_TAB_COMMENTS, USER_TAB_COMMENTS
