Symptoms

On  12.1.0.2  When the following Steps are done

Set event 30556

ALTER SYSTEM SET max_string_size=extended;

@?/rdbms/admin/utl32k

Trace file is showing 

ERROR:

ORA-30556: either functional or bitmap join index is defined on the column to be modified

Current SQL Statement:

 ALTER TABLE "OWNER"."TABLE_NAME" MODIFY ("A" VARCHAR2(1500 CHAR))
