ORA-1452 Creating Materialized View with Group By Containing More Than 32 Columns (Doc ID 2016046.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


In version 10.2 or later, a create materialized view statement with a group by clause containing more than 32 columns fails with the following error:

ORA-01452: cannot CREATE UNIQUE INDEX; duplicate keys found

For version earlier 10.2, instead with the following error:

ORA-01793: maximum number of index columns is 32
