ORA 7445 [qks3tAllocIDL] While Running a SELECT Statement With PARTITION and Using Nested Cursor

Symptoms

In 11.2.0.3 database and above, the following error appears during a select statement:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [qks3tAllocIDL()+525] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x20] [PC:0x1786101] [Address not mapped to object] []

The call stack contains:

qks3tAllocIDL qks3tAllocIDL qks3tAllocIDL opitca kksFullTypeCheck rpiswu2 kksLoadChild kxsGetRuntimeLock

 

The failing statement contains a WITH query sub-factoring and a nested cursor, similar to:

SELECT * FROM TABLE ..... (CURSOR (WITH...))...
