On Oracle Big Data Appliance, Hive Query Fails with Move Task Error (Doc ID 2024039.1)

Hive Insert query runs successfully in the HUE browser. But in the Hive editor logs, it still continues, i.e., the logs are still being written and the data processing goes on for a long amount of time. Then in the end the log shows a move task error.

When the same query is executed multiple number of times, it writes different amount of data into the table. For example, if a particular column (SSID) has 30 million records, and throws this error then one time it writes 10 million, another time 20 or 5 million.

In HiveServer2 log a re-occuring Move Task Error message is being presented as below:
