On Oracle Big Data Appliance , CDH Services Using Client Network Instead of Infiniband Network (Doc ID 2032768.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 11, 2016

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 2.5.0 and later
Linux x86-64

On Oracle Big Data Appliance , ALL CDH services are using Client Network instead of Infiniband (IB) Network.

CM --> Hosts displays that the node names are being referenced using Client ip's instead of IB ip's.

Using 'dcli -C service network status' command ensured IB network (ib0,ib1 and bondib0 interfaces ) is up and running.
Using 'dcli -C -t' command ensured the nodes can communicate on IB ip's.
