ORA-600 [KPP_CONCATQ:2] with Japanese Characters in Where Clause (Doc ID 2038360.1)

Symptoms

Following error occurred while executing a query with Japanese character used in the WHERE clause of the query:

ORA-00600: 内部エラー・コード, 引数: [kpp_concatq:2], [2], [1], [0], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []


The query that failed:

SQL> SELECT CHIIKI_CD FROM TDCS_SEARCH_SUM WHERE BODY_COLOR = 'ブラック・サファイヤ';


The query failed only when WHERE clause uses a column that has value in Japanese character.

The index on respective column been dropped and recreated but that did not help.

The trace file shows a function call stack like:
