Symptoms

BDA node reprovision fails on Step 10 StartHadoopServices, starting Hadoop services due to the parameter yarn.nodemanager.resource.cpu-vcores, the number of virtual CPU cores that can be allocated for containers, being 0.

1. Node reprovision fails with:


4. In Cloudera Manager it is observed that yarn is in bad health due to the NodeManager on the node being reprovisioned being down.

5. Investigating that NodeManager shows that the value for "yarn.nodemanager.resource.cpu-vcores" is 0.
