Unable to Create Database using Different Compatible Parameter After Installing the Software (Doc ID 2056187.1)

Symptoms

While creating database using DBCA by setting compatible parameter to 10.2.0.3.0 where RDBMS version is 11.2.0.4.0 , one of the following errors is thrown:

ORA-01130: database file version 11.2.0.4.0 incompatible with ORACLE version 10.2.0.3.0

(OR)

ORA-00201: control file version 11.2.0.4.0 incompatible with ORACLE version 10.2.0.3.0
