Symptoms

While installing Oracle Grid Infrastructure either 12.1.0.1 or 12.1.0.2 via silent install, the following error is encountered:

[INS-40927] Interfaces with common subnets have different names on different nodes

Note:  While it is possible to encounter this error during an interactive (non-silent) install, this note only covers occurrence of this error during silent installation.
