DBCA Silent Installation Does Not Allow For Password Entry Interactively (Doc ID 2063001.1)

Symptoms

While running the DBCA in silent mode in command-line mode, dbca does not prompt for passwords. Instead the screen is cleared off, i.e no prompt appears for user input and then it is stuck.

 It works fine if a response file is used.
