Purpose
ASM Instance is up and running , but ASMCMD shows Connected to an idle instance.
[oragrid@node1flex ~]$ ps -aef|grep pmon
oragrid 897 1 0 Nov02 ? 00:00:06 asm_pmon_+ASM1
[oragrid@node1flex ~]$ asmcmd -p
Connected to an idle instance.
ASMCMD [+] > lsdg
ASMCMD-8102: no connection to Oracle ASM; command requires Oracle ASM to run
