Used a template and created a new instance via DBCA using that template.
In wizard step "11 of 15", there is an option to customize the storage through "Customize Storage Locations" button.
By adding a new redo log file and modifying its location, then clicking "Apply" then "OK", then "Customize Storage Locations" button again, the new redo log file still points to the default location.
After keep pressing "Next" until database creation is finalized, the new redo log file is verified to be created into the intended path not the default shown one. DBCA does not show the modified path for the newly added online redo log file.
Hence, this is just a DBCA display problem because the created database contain the new redo log file in the new directory (after modification) that the DBCA should have displayed correctly. This is misleading.
