ORA-3113/ORA-600[18062] connecting to pluggable database when global_name has been set to NULL

 An attempt to connect to a pluggable database from sqlplus will fail with the following errors:

SQL> alter session set container=bp1;
alter session set container=bp1
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
Process ID: 28883
Session ID: 1 Serial number: 8383

The alert.log will show the following error:

Errors in file /u01/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/bc121b/BC121B/trace/BC121B_ora_18800.trc (incident=407) (PDBNAME=BP1):
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [18062], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

An attempt to connect to the pub using a tnsalias will fail with the above ORA-600 error:

sqlplus system/manager1@bp1

 The global_name of the pluggable database has been set to NULL:

SQL> select nvl(value$,'NULL') from containers(props$) where name = 'GLOBAL_DB_NAME';
