ACFSSNAP0 spinning results High CPU usage

Symptoms
On restart ACFSNAP0 process goes into a cycle consuming very high CPU and preventing anything else from progressing on the server.
ACFS persistent logs:

a) acfsutil log -p ofs -n 5
b) wait 2-3 hours
c) acfsutil log -p ofs -n 2
with above increased ACFS persistent logging,
