Symptoms

RMAN-07537 error raised while performing full database backup for 12c NON-CDB

This command fails if "FORMAT" keyword is not used 

  

  

 

# Without keyword "FORMAT" you get this error in:

->           CDB error: RMAN-06813: could not translate pluggable database /TMP/DB_%D_%T_%S_%P_%T
-> NON-CDB error: RMAN-07537: command only allowed in a container database
