Exalytics and Oracle In-Memory Database: Query Performance and Hard Parse Times Longer than Expected
Last updated on JANUARY 03, 2018

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When using Oracle Database In-Memory 188.8.131.52 (IMDB) on an Oracle Exalytics server, the query performance is less than expected.
For example, if setting optimizer_features_enable:
Setting it to optimizer_features_enable='184.108.40.206' improves query performance (< 1 second).
Resetting it to optimizer_features_enable='220.127.116.11' slows query performance (7 - 10 seconds)
Expecting performance to be better with 18.104.22.168 than it is with 22.214.171.124, but explain plan shows longer time in the hard parse phase.
