Last updated on JANUARY 05, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle SQL Connector for Hadoop Distributed File System - Version 3.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Goal

Oracle Big Data Connectors are supported for use with Oracle SuperCluster and Oracle Database systems on Solaris.

Oracle SQL Connector for HDFS requires Oracle SQL Connector for HDFS and a Hadoop client to be installed on the database system.  Follow the instructions documented below to install a Hadoop client and Oracle SQL Connector for HDFS on an Oracle SuperCluster or any other database system on Solaris.

All other Oracle Big Data Connector components require no additional configuration on the database system.

Note:  Any  questions specific to the Hadoop client on Solaris that are unrelated to the Connectors need to be directed to the Hadoop distribution vendor or the open source community as appropriate.
