Oracle ODBC Driver Truncates The Data Length of Output Parameter When Data Type is SQL_VARCHAR/SQL_WVARCHAR (Doc ID 2101352.1)

Symptoms

The data length of output parameter is truncated while using Oracle ODBC driver when it is of type SQL_VARCHAR or SQL_WVARCHAR.
The issue is identified in Oracle Client 12.1.0.2.

The data length was 36 in earlier versions (12.1.0.1 and lower versions). With Oracle Client 12.1.0.2 it became 18.

 

Changes

 Upgraded Oracle ODBC driver (Oracle Client) from 12.1.0.1 (or lower version) to 12.1.0.2
