Does the BDA Provide a Certification Authority (CA) Certificate for General Use?

(Doc ID 2101436.1)

Last updated on APRIL 10, 2017

Applies to:

Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.3.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Goal

The goal of the note is:
1. To address the question of whether the BDA provides an internal certification authority (CA) to issue digital certificates. (A digital certificate certifies the ownership of a public key by the named subject of the certificate.)

2. Determine if the CA puppet uses for internal management can be used for the Key Trustee Server.
