This bulletin explains the usage of the EXTERNAL_TABLE command-line parameter of SQL*Loader to be used for loading data via external tables feature.


This bulletin describes the usage of external tables with SQL*Loader by also providing guidelines for when and why to use external tables feature with the utility. It does not cover loading into external tables which is not possible with Oracle 9i.
