Creating Archival Backups for Long Term Backup Retention on the Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (Doc ID 2107079.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 07, 2016

Applies to:

Linux x86-64

Goal

For customers requiring a much higher backup and recovery retention policy when using Recovery Appliance, please follow this solution. Regardless of the reason, setting a very large recovery window goal (e.g. 1 year) may not be cost effective for any protected database; so, this solution describes how to KEEP certain TAGGED backups beyond the Recovery Appliance's recovery window goals to meet higher backup and recovery retention requirements.
