MYSQL 5.7 Windows FailOver Cluster

- Running into troubles configuring MYSQL in a server 2012 R2 failover cluster. Following the attached documentation I edited the my.ini file to point to the binaries clusterd shared volume but the resource group doesn't start the service.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup Windows Cluster on hosts
2. Install MySQL on Windows Cluster hosts
3. Attempt to start the service.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot effectively start the mysqld service.
