Data pump import not using parallellism on RAC nodes as expected when running as sysdba (Doc ID 2108103.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 18, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 12.1.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Experiencing slower performance during import, and do not see import processes running on second RAC node as expected, even though data pump parameters are configured to allow for parallelism on cluster.

parfile contains parameters that would allow for parallelism to be used across RAC.

cluster=y
parallel=32
service_name=clust1

The import has previously run at faster throughput, but now the import is running at slower speed.
